Aaron Phypers has filed for divorce from actress Denise Richards, ending a six-year relationship. The separation was officially registered on July 7, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE magazine.
According to the filings, the couple listed July 4 as the separation date and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. Phypers, 52, also requested spousal support from Richards, 54, in addition to keeping his personal assets separate — including power tools, a motorcycle, and a sports car.

Richards and Phypers began dating in June 2017, shortly after meeting at the holistic healing center he operated in Malibu. They were married in September 2018 in a private ceremony.
Although the couple did not have biological children together, Richards had publicly stated that Phypers was in the process of legally adopting her youngest daughter, Eloise, who is now 14. However, there has been no confirmation if the adoption was finalized.
Successful career in film and television
Denise Richards rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s for her roles in major Hollywood productions. She became globally known for portraying the seductive Kelly Van Ryan in “Wild Things” (1998) and Dr. Christmas Jones in “The World Is Not Enough” (1999), alongside Pierce Brosnan.
Richards also starred in films like “Starship Troopers” (1997) and “Valentine” (2001), and made guest appearances in popular TV shows, including Friends, Two and a Half Men, and Spin City. More recently, she appeared on the reality show “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and in various television projects.
